The only place I'd would live other than where I am now is the California coast from SD to Santa Cruz, perhaps Tahoe. _________________

I find these threads interesting on several levels, not the least of which is that someone can reduce the complexity of requirements for where to live down to a couple sentances (omitting job market, real estate prices, climate, desired environment urban/rural/etc.). Of course when I was younger less of that mattered to me too.

The way I see it is... I don't really have much family to leave behind, I don't really care where I work since I am open to interesting and odd jobs, I wanna experience all types of climate, I won't be buying real estate until i'm well out of college, and I will 90% chance return to southern california about 10 years from when I leave because it is an awesome place. I just wanna see everything the world has to offer because I know somewhere has got to be better than here... and if there is such a place I wanna find it. I hear the midwest is boring as hell... but I wouldnt mind giving it 6 months to disprove this fact, I have an aunt in maine who would probably house me for another 6 months, I definately want to try out a big city like new york/boston for a while see how that life is, Hopefully get a semester abroad in and travel europe... and just for kicks I want to see australia/new zeland. I think thats a good start, I just started the thread to see if anyone loved their place of residence so much they would recommend it to me. Great responses thought! _________________ '63 Ghia aka "Murphy" |

I've lived in Cali. Carlsbad, Oceanside area and it was cool and the women were awesome but only because they were walking around in bikinis. They're not smarter, prettier, better in bed, or make better mates than women from anywhere else though.
I've also lived in L.A., Las Vegas, Baltimore, and a couple of bohunk towns near Charlotte NC. I currently live at the foot of the NC mountains in a county of 16,000 and love it.
I'm originally from NC and I'm just an old country type guy that likes my open spaces and privacy but if I had my choice of living anywhere that I already have then it'd be Vegas. The only thing that keeps me from moving back there is the level of violent crime that big cities haveand no matter how you live it always seems to find you in the big city.
I also have always wanted to visit/live in Aus. or NZ but if I had only one choice I think I'd choose Finland. _________________ 63SunNotch...."Don't qoute me on it but I am pretty good when it comes to tits.
