Ok first ill start off by saying I do not have an aussie car, but I do like the look. So where does a person go to find this trim, and I have seen several cars with different style flash trim, so are these aftermarket or homemade? If its homemade, how? |

There are now repros available. I saw them advertised in VWMA (VW mag Australia). They were $550 AU. Check Aussieveedubbers.com
and I am sure someone can fill in the rest. |

Here are some of the different styles that they made back in the 1960's.

I got curious by the looks of the license plate of this car and looked it up in copies from old Swedish car registrys I have in my posession - this is indeed a former Swedish car, a VW 1950 (RHD??) and back in 1960 it was owned by police officer C. E. Isacsson of Perstorp in southern Sweden |

PLENTY of chrome/stainless trim from other cars can make any type of added trim you want. Just have to be creative and look outside the normal box.
Flash trim style looks classy with the right color combinations. I just wont pay the big bucks or drill a car to accept it the original trim. Id go for the one that is installed with double sided tape to secure it. _________________ aka Ken {o\!/o}

I highly doubt this is the same car. I've spoken to the cars current owner and it is converted to RHD, sits on a much newer pan and the sunroof is a graft using several sections from a 2-fold roof. _________________ 1947 Typ 11a
