I just removed everything from the back of my '68 and found the previous owner had laid out 1/2" plywood on the passenger area floor. Does anyone have any pros/cons on this? There's no rust and I'm thinking about using the old pieces as templates and re-laying fresh wood.(over a sound deading product)
The other problem I can't figure out is how to secure the rear bench seat. (If I were to go without the plywood) It is a fold out sleeper type seat with rectangular plates attached to the vertical supports. The previous owner had the plates screwed into the wood and thru the floor. I see some (2) brackets (as part of the floor)near the 45 degree panel but nothing to secure the rest of the plate.
Any help is appreciated. |

| If you put down wood again, make sure your bus is sealed real goood first. No leaks, no considation nothing like that first. Then after you make sure of that por 15 the floor to be on the safe side. Then I think it's perfectly safe to put down the wood as the risk of rust on the interior floor is cut down. |
