A friend of mine that teaches german at our local university said it was 'fook' sounding like the oo in food instead of the more u sound in 'book'. But she said the sound could differ depending on your local. _________________ Sounding like a broken record as to why You should be measuring protein during harvest in order to better your agronomic practices. |

This is a hard one for a phronetic break down "fooks" might work depending on your accent or you could try "Fux" and say the U like the U in fluent.
By the way if anyone wasnt aware fuchs means fox in German. _________________ English/German translation needed?

I really do not mean to 'hi-jack'.....but on a similar note, may I ask how you pronounce KAFER. is the "A" sound like "ahh" or like saying 'paper'?
Thanks, as I've heard it said both ways

kafer is pronounced kay-fer, it is actually spelled käfer with the umlaut above the A to indicate the vowel sound. _________________ drive your split. |

And one wheels is still a Fuchs. Not a Fuch!
That would be like saying "its one fock, but two fox". (Its german for fox BTW) |
