Tried that and got the normal two tone.
Was hoping there was a way to narrow down the search but so far no luck.

I don't know that there is a name for it. It is just a multi color paint job.

Oh, that's lovely. The blue running boards are a nice touch. What motor you got?

Thanks! Just a 1776 with dual 40 Webers. Would love a 2L but this motor pulls nicely for what it is.

Can a VW beetle 1303 be a Cal-Looker?
I originally planned the car to be a Stance or german look status, but the back end of the car scrapes like hell Confused due to Soft standard Shocks and the roads in my country is full of speedbumps and potholes Sad
I got a pair of thick tires (145/70) in my garage, I thought I can use it and make the car, look like California look Very Happy

this is the car now, with Kamei replica spoiler.

Absolutely, IMO. I say piss on anyone that throws out any type of BS limitations on year of car. If it fits in the spirit of the California Look (nose down in front, stock height out back, subtle one-tone paint job and high-performance drive train),l then it's Cal Look.

Anybody that suggests that a Cal-Look car must be a '67 or '67 and earlier car needs to put down their sippy cup of 1970s-era Kool-Aid and chill out. I totally see Super Beetles as viable Cal Look candidates if done right, and laugh at anyone who shits on someone else's Cheerios by suggesting otherwise.

I agree that late models can be Cal look, but I think supers look better as German lookers which is basically a variation of the Cal look anyway. Its all about making the car perform its best. I've also seen early model German lookers, it doesn't really matter what other people think do what you want, but just looking at the front of your car It say German look Twisted Evil

That is my favorite color for a '67, I've always wanted since I got into VW's at around 15 and I'm 42 now Laughing Great job. I had a white one a few years ago.
