You left out the Camaro.

Selling it is what funded the other three. Wink

Very disappointed.

Also have a ford explorer and picking up two more, if not three within the next month or less. It needed to go. I dislike american made cars anyways. Confused

It was just a great image in my head of you cruising around in an 80's Camaro. Not sure it is possible to get a vision much more diametrically opposed than you doing the same in your bus. But, I totally understand flipping cars for cash. I do it as often as I can. Gotta love the free stuff!

so my window decided to fall down into the door on me last sunday night...that was a fantastic time. it was a chilly (sorta, my heat was working Very Happy ) ride home. and i lucked out, because it hasnt really rained all that much this week. got around to fixing that today. Smile

took off the door panel, and found this, as suspected.

too that off, and pried carefully and got the window holder part off.

used my armrest as a window cushion to avoid accidental dropping and breaking Smile

pulled the new part out (used, from Ken) took the ruber sleeve out of the rusty track, slid that onto the window in the clean spot the old one left, then gently with a million small taps from the bottom, wedged the new one into place.

put it all back together and it works great Cool

took less that 30 minutes. Smile

After replacing the rubber seals and trating the rust in the window channels on all but thedriver and passenger front windows, I had a lot of POR 15 showing around the rubber seals where I dealt with rust. Today my son and I did some touch up work around the windows...seems to have come out pretty well. Next week we'll polish and wx the whole vehicle and see how it all blends together.

Your bus and mine have about the same amount of snow on them right now. We're expecting another 2"-4" or more this weekend. Makes great insulation! Very Happy

Finished the sound proofing above the engine.
It is a flame resistant siding I cut to fit with some high temp paint for color.
Looks like a little better match without the flash.

It is a self adhesive sound dampening material (photo 1) and then the fire resistant siding (Photo 2) over it. It's like a plaster/fiber mixed and made to look like wood.

I don't know about the Western Dwarf Mosquito, but it looks pretty good to me. Guess I'll find out on my next trip whenever that is. 😄

How much noise reduction did you get from it?

For me, it has been night and day. When my door close they sound like a new Merc. Road and engine noise reduction is incredible from where this tin top started from.
