Bought some used German valve cover bails and painted them. Also found a 38 amp generator pulley. Yes even the little steps make me happy and get this Westy one more step towards reality.

The engine hatch is well insulated and deadened already so left it stock.

Sure hope it makes a difference. Haven't been able to hear music or conversation.

Will install in front of bus-cab floors, front wall, and doors.

let us know how well it works! ^^

After just applying it to the rear of the bus heard a marked difference in noise. Before this, my phone couldn't understand anything I said. After ward phone responds to voice commands!

Applied the same sound deadening to the cab floor - and now can hear music! YAY.

Glue all over the seat pedestals made be grimace every time I opened the door.

Got floor mats from Wolfsburg West and put them in last night.

Huge difference. I know, purely cosmetic, but feels so much better when I open the door. Now for re upholstering the seats (which are currently bare springs with pillow and covers).

Before - all that ugly glue on my pretty paint. ugh.

Cleaned out the other side of my garage in preparation for getting my 78 Westy!

I hope the measurements are correct because there is not a lot of room to spare!

I flocked my glove box.
Two coats of shellack to seal the old finish, adhesive and flocking. Gave the glove box a like new finish. Also added a panel for a digital volt readout and two USB ports to charge phones and stuff.

Rust removed and repainted Sliding Door Track Cover.

Am having great fun with Wolfsburg West restoration supplies. What a difference this project made. I hadn't noticed the rust discoloration on the panel beneath the cover until I fixed it. Am hoping can clean that off/buff it out or something.

Before and after photo.

Damn... I was about to drill my dash to add these but I like this way better. Great Job!
You could also hide a LED light behind the wall that you made to light up the glove box.

Got my BFG's, my Brazilian Kombi mirrors and DIY awning up! So stoked! The stance is right where I want it. 2.5" drop spindles in the front, taken down a notch in the rear. Overall, the bus has been lowered and given all terrains. Haha. I know it's not a popular look, but I am diggin it! Can't wait to camp.

Looks great. Before you button it all up, I would be a little concerned about that spillguard product you have installed (visible in the rear seat and wheel well area) holding moisture.

The product was designed to place under area rugs to protect the rug and the underlying hardwood floor. It is designed to retain moisture which is exactly what you do not want in this application. Easier to fix it now than later.

You're kidding right - what with the Wink.
What did you really do to achieve those results?!?

I believe it. That Dimer stuff is magic. I don't think it's available in the states and it's probably not so good for the environment.

If anyone knows where to get it in the states, let me know via PM.

the box has the motor in it, basically amounting plate goes over the shaft, and has different size shafts shims to fit. came with a harness and relay that will work pretty good
