Gotcha. Just could not gather what the car was from what was visible.
Good luck on your swap. _________________ nothing |

That must be a thing that the younger generation uses. I guess that would be in the same category as using "a gay old time". 😄 I guess I need to change the label to fridge. 😄

Just taking a little jab. Your fuse panel is very nice. I like your work. I love seeing someone take time to keep things neat and organized.
I couldn't help it when I saw the first fuse labeled "Frig" and I thought "I know he means fridge (pronounced "frij "with a soft "G") but actually put "Frig"( pronounced to rhyme with "big") that, like Keith says, is a soft way of cursing.
I didn't mean to take away from your work, it just struck me funny.
I like the info about your replacement fridge too. Thanks for the tip. _________________ 1974 VW Westfailia Campmobile Deluxe (Clementine)

No problem. I think it's kinda funny now that I know.
The fridge works really great. 20 minutes and it down to temperature. Awesome investment and it fits right in the same size opening. No mods necessary.

So i spent the weekend returning favors helping my dad(1976 westy) pull his gas tank and replacing various items. Fuel gauge didn't work and it pissed fuel when adding gas.
Used a new filler neck from a 77 and later bus(top one).
Items in the tank... old gas cap pieces... and a bunch of dead hornets.
After it was cleaned out we reinstalled tank with new rubber, vapor lines(not pictured), and new sending unit
After all that my dad welded a donor piece into were the deal hacked out a section for the air conditioner... I told him it looked like mexican yard art(its a thing here in texas they sell) but it cools properly now.

So, you and your dad both have yellow '76 Westys!?!? That is awesome!
Oh, and I also did my filler neck and vapor lines this past weekend. I'll be updating my thread soon! _________________ 1976 Westy

For what it's worth, it's so friggin weird that there's a "D" in "fridge" but no "D" in "refrigerator". This is something that has driven me nuts for years. _________________ '78 Westy |

More like what did I do for my bus this weekend. I drove it 250 miles in the greater Durango area going to different mountain bike trails to ride. The bus ran great and the trails were in excelent shape.
I adjusted the brakes (again), installed a 2.10 air correction into my IDF 40s, installed a new am/fm antenna and cleaned up a nice drivers side heater box I got from a buddy. It looks nice with the new paint. I'm gonna use it to replace my current one that is a little wore out.
Stopped into Mesa Verde national park and grabbed a pic.
Edit: I only got 16 mpg total for the weekend but it was really windy out and the bike really killed the milage. _________________ __________

Ever since my trip to Tucson I have noticed that my clutch hasn't been the same. The contact point has becoming closer to the floor and it had started to feel real soft. Durning the past week or so the clutch pedal hasn't been coming up all the way.
I got a new cable and clevis pin from the VW shop this afternoon. I had a bad feeling so after work in the parking lot I decided to pull the skid plate. Glad I did, the cable end was mostly broken and the clevis pin was jammed. I changed the cable and clevis pin. Total repair time was 1 hour including clean up. Lucky for me I was still on the clock for 20 min of the repair. Not sure if I would have made it home.

Added some longer bolts and some washers to a set of Quik-N-Easy roof bars so they better fit the bus.
