Hard to see, but looks killer in person. Had yellow tint installed on my Sunshine, from the inside looking out looks like HD!

ELECTRICAL SUCCESS!
1) Found my dude for the wiper blades blown. Replaced to get back my wipers!
2) Found a not blown fuze giving poor connection, replaced and got my horn back!
3) Traced wires for my brake lights to the sensors. Found them inoperable... I pushed on the brakes with all I had a few times. I now have brake lights!
4) Found a missing wire from my dude box to my dash. Replaced, now I have my turn signal indicator (right side only)
5) Found oil pressure light housing had a short/disconnect, exchanged for my high beam indicator housing, now I have an oil pressure indicator.
6) Found my key buzzer had a short, it was still trying to make sound... but it was failing...
7) Got and attached the B-pillar deluxe chrome on both sides of my bus.
Went for a drive with my buddy around Detroit to Johnny noodle King and Batch Brewery.
What a good time. _________________ Brutis Patches Izabich: 1970 VW Transporter - 1776cc DP

New seat cover kit going in the camper. New padding and sisel cloth too. Half way there on the project. I'll do the drivers seat over the weekend. My wife was the first to have a sit down (Her normal spot as copilot.) and said it a night and day improvement. TMI covers WCM stuffings. I'll put up another pic when I'm done.

Nice seat repair.
BTW, also nice seat belts. Not US market. Did you put them on or rest of world vehicle, in other words no DOT looking after your safety.

I put the belts in. It is a '71 and had its stock non retractable belts. I felt it was time for an upgrade. originally these belts were for later model US spec type 3 and Karman Giha if I recall correctly. The kit comes with brackets to adapt to bus.
Now I can reach stuff in the lower parcel tray without unbuckling. |

European, maybe ROW buses had retractable belts all along. Why not US?
VW of America, that's what.

I got the drivers seat done today. The seats came out very nice overall. I'm definitely sitting up higher in the saddle while driving. Plus my wife loves it so there ya go!

European Buses had retractable belts standard? What? School me please. Show some proof. I would of thought this the other way round. As with most "improvements" like the wing window - standard US - the FI - standard US - the laminated front screen - Standard Us - T4 Motor - standard US - actual seat belts standard - US!.........and so on.

I found it in parts fiche years ago. It so pissed me that I kept breaking those little white hooks. I musta gone thru 10 over the years. Somewhere I have quite a few NOS belts with retractors from late 70's cars. Probably Dashers, but likley nearly the same. I guess I should look for them.

Looks great. You didn't remove the rivet between the seat back and base? That must of been super fun! _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

I know there are retractable belts out there. But were they standard on Euro spec buses?
Finding later - Dasher, bug and or T3 - T411 belts that retrat are not hard but Bay window bus ones?? _________________

No, no. It was just like the set on German Ebay. Those could likely be the OE manufacturer.
Probably the same spec retractor as used in a Dasher, but different attachments, probably.
