I've got a 1965 Ford E100 Panel Van. I am the 4th owner, it was used as a cargo van by the first owner, then sold to the 2nd who in 1978 did the conversion you will see in the slideshow. Adding white fur to the walls and ceilings, crushed blue velvet dash board and trim work, custom wood work, a working ice box, 8track player in the dash, 3 on the tree inline 6' 170', crushed velvet bed in the rear.
A few pics in the slideshow below, I love em!

Actually I got her this year, the complete conversion as seen in the photos was done circa 1978.
She is great, currently she is having issues with getting too hot, I am putting on a new water pump and an electronic fan in 2 weeks. After that she should be rocking and rolling again.
I've got more photos if you'd like, leave an e-mail

I've seen a lot of Ford vans in various forms more and more at shows.
Poked around in there for a while....and saw this:
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=352833&d=1189479484
That looks exactly like what my Dad and his friends drove across country in the early 70's. I've seen some of the old super 8 film and they did some crazy stuff in that thing!! So what is it?? I asked him what kind of van he took and….he couldn't remember!! _________________ '73 Transporter 1.7L Dual Carb

don't wait for the kit, just go to a junkyard & get an old Chevy truck grill, and cut it to fit... _________________ <---Air Cooled Search & Rescue Team - STICKERS & T-shirts for sale!

page 4 - pop-top would be awesome.
A few fridays ago, i was heading back home in my bus after dropping my son off at school (maybe a mile drive at most) as a go round a corner, here comes a truck with an A-100 (i think) on it's flatbed...but, it's a high roof delivery or something similar, as the roof line is taller. I didn't have my camera, nor a place to turn around to follow. It looked like it was going to a shop somewhere. Anyone see anything similar? I've googled, but come up empty. _________________ Even YOU can prevent FIRES!

I've always had a thing for the 1961 - 1967 Econolines, but I often wonder what these old vans really drive like. Solid front axles sprung with leaf springs, tiny manual drum brakes, manual steering, and relatively heavy but low output engines don't look like inspiring components for a vehicle. Were these vans any good to drive, or were they noisy, scary things that are better used as a storage device?

Neighbor up the street has one like this in his garage. He just moved in a few months ago. Looks to be a project in progress. Pretty cool. _________________ One man's "patina" is another man's cancer...
