2 days ago (Sun) westbound old coastal highway New Brunswick between Dipper Harbour and New River Beach a white Westy pulled out of sommeone's private drivewave far ahead of me, flashing my lights, finally caught up with it and much to my surprise it had Ontario plates and looked familiar. Down the road I turned off for another old highway while he went straight.
See lots on old local highways than on the big super highways _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...

Funny moment last saturday night in Vancouver, wife and I biking from False Creek home to commercial drive, going up that huge hill towards Clark.. (anyone living in east van with a bicycle would know it well).. wife and I always have to beat each other calling out a spotted westy. As usual, I beat her .. then as this light coloured westy drives by, lady driving waves at us and pulls over at the bottom of the hill. I wasn't biking back down and up again, and she didn't u-turn to drive back up the hill so didn't know who it was.. anyone? _________________ 1990 westy auto |

Was leaving bryson and headed towards maryvile tn. I followed another beige vanill/ westy. I turned to hit the dragon on my way east. He went right. I have a photo. May post it another day. The funny part is he was pulling over to let me pass realized I was also in a westy and we did the westy wave, and cruised up and down the mountain road in unison. Fun times. He waved before riding off into the valley. _________________ [email protected] 84 Westy 1.9 waterboxer > 2001 Legacy 2.5L sohc w/ subarugears 5MT Ty754 |

Monday morning heading from Toronto to Mississaqua on the Gardiner x-way saw a stock looking Burgundy Westy that looked to be in nice condition. Ontario plates. Not sure what the extra blocks on back are?

Keep seeing this blue westy near work.... What springs do you have there?? I've got the same size tires going on soon.. And vc 2wd springs. Will take an after photo next time were parked together..
And I'll stay of the curb next time. Funny optics it looks like my van is not only lower but narrower and shorter in length. Like a 9/10ths scale westy

Parking on the curb is like platform shoes - don't count for height. _________________ Its a mistress; an expensive, whiney, needy bitch of a mistress. When you live in Los Osos, you will see that it is a requirement that at least one house on each block has a westy or vanagon. My arm gets tired waving at all the westys just going to the store. |

My brother and family are camping in the smokey mountains. He sent me this picture with the caption "look who parked next to us last night"
He said its so nice, mood lights around the pop top and solar panel charging the battery.
I think it is pretty cool that my brother, that lives in Indiana, sent me, in New Mexico, a picture of a westy. They are tent camping |

How about in the BACKGROUND of a totally unrelated CL ad? And in one of the pix it looks like there might be a second Vanagon under a tarp.

My wife reports a silver Westy being flat bedded northbound on Wilmot Road in Tucson a few minutes ago.
She said a quick Hail Mary as it passed. Good luck. |

Imagine our surprise when a 2012 VW California turned up next to us here at the City of Golden's wonderful Clear Creek Campground. The couple, Wim and Paulina who own it are from the Netherlands and are on a US leg of a trip that took them from Europe. and down through eastern Africa. After returning to Europe, they went down to Argentina and drove up here. It's a Tdi 4Motion. Just like we can't get.....
Lovely couple.

Yesterday coming home from the community college, saw one on the road for a Westy wave. Today, parked opposite a brown early model, with a Eurovan behind me. |

Saw part of one. Title Nine is fond of using VW's in its catalogs... spotted this one in the latest Fall issue:
