I've never seen either one of those buses around here
neither one made it to the first event of the year a couple weeks ago
the first show around here is this weekend maybe they'll show up _________________ '60 15 window walkthrough

Johnny D deserves all the props for bringing this one back from the grave ...and I can fully understand letting it go for the right $$$, but this flipping a bus multiple times for a quick score is the same crap I watched turn the muscle car guys hobby into a millionaire's only club. I know the law of supply and demand will rule, but it sure takes a lot of the innocence out of the hobby. I started wrenching on Volksies when people used to GIVE them to you just to get it out of their backyard, drive, whatever and now here we are with Buses being sold for the equavalent of some houses. I'll step of my soap box now and return to drooling over that BD ass shot. Serious Bus porn! _________________ Learn to weld and make rust your B*tch |

Johny d bought this bus from me as a big project and it was not cheap then a few years back, He could have bought a pretty nice 21 window for what this cost as a project. Its worth the $65k in my opinion |

Let's get back on topic.
If you want to whine, use the Bus Whine thread or at least this thread:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=457983
If you want to discuss details of this Bus without crying about prices or are the new owner with some updates, post away. |

$30k would probably represent a $15k loss for the guy. books might be a safer bet _________________ -StockRocks- |

How did they use barndoors as ambulances and get the cot in? I used to be a medic and can only guess it was for the staff or stair chairs. _________________ American Red Cross Safe And Well:

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |
