After 23 years I guess it makes sense to post some pics of the bus as it's being restored. Come to the Jamboree September 20-22 2013 at the Gold King Mine in beautiful Jerome, Arizona and spend 50 cents to win this beauty (it should look slightly better by then!)

We heard about this bus in New Mexico and passed the hat...it was purchased and transported back to us in style by our good friend Jay

Cooool! Isn't it a panel van? Are you going to make it a camper or back to a panel? Has the club ever gave away a panel? Is there alist of pics showing all the buses that have been given away? I went first time this year and wow what a great event and giveaway! Very Happy

I do plan on going like so many others with hopes to transport the raffle bus home.

We did a panel called "Slo Poke" 8 or 9 years ago...it was won by a gal named Jennifer who lived on JEROME street in Mesa. It was stolen and we rescued it from imminent death at a salvage yard. Wonder what ever became of that bus?

Here's Jennifer showing her new bus to her kid...the others are previous raffle busses who made the event

Regarding the Panel question; this bus came with a bench seat and no windows behind the drivers door...and no vents in the back which one would ordinarily associate with a panel. So, fair question...too bad the mcode plate was cut out with the bulkhead years ago. Anyone have any ideas?

It was probably just ordered without cargo vents.

Cool bus. I may have to come to jerome for the first time ever to have a crack at winning this bus. hehehe.

Wow, it is awesome to see this bus getting restored. Better then sitting in my back yard as a storage shed. Hoping to make it out from NM to the Jamboree this year. Very Happy
