At first the price of $8 didn't seem excessive, but then you have to add shipping, paypal fees (4.5%), and insurance (since that stuff is so valuable!), so it will be twice that. And for what? I'm trying to figure out what it consists of, no help from seller. used brake lines, heat exchanger sleeve, inspection cover?, heater slider knob cover?, no clue on others since they are buried in the box? Too much trouble to lay it out for a photo? |

Looks like a bug generator to me too.
It also looks like it got a car wash engine wash, and a spray bomb rebuild.
Why would one go thru the trouble to install a ball joint bug beam up front, and go "wide 5", and put 4 lug drums in the rear? And are those 4 lug type 3 drums in the rear? Or bug drums? I understand not being able to find a correct wheel cylinder for a 65 T-3 drum brake, but why not convert to 4 lug T-3 disc brakes, instead of going to the bug beam? |
I bought this Variant (not the Baja). I've got some mess to clean up, but I think there's a lot more good than bad in it. Going to Pomona this weekend to look for some parts. Any advice on the front beam is appreciated. The original front was included in the sale.
Glad to be here! |

Same seller? |
No. I'm guessing they bought them off of eBay and listed them here thinking they'd cash in.
The original eBay ad was for $350 and over the course of several weeks, it went down to $250 and then Best Offer, where I learned the offer of $200 was accepted. There's a glitch in the eBay system if you're watching an item with a Best Offer option where it'll tell you what the buyer paid when it's over. |

Not only two different designs, but a 361 part number is not for a Type 34. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Which makes the $400 price hilarious...hell, $200 was hilarious given that it's not a matched set. (that's why I posted this guy: ) |

I think the max on these right now is about $100.
I had a SUPER nice one and decided to push the envelope a bit and ask $100.
It took a while but it sold.
I sold another really clean one for $80 before that.
That looks like a $40-$50 one to me.
I wouldn't pay that but I might ask that. _________________ How to Post Photos
