That's not a Type 34 distributor cap, it's just the cap for a ZV/JCU 4 R 3 which was used on all 1500S models. It just happens to have a Type 34 prefix, just like many other 1500S engine parts do. #suckerborneveryminute

All of the ZV/JCU 4R3 parts are "341" part numbers, aren't they?

I have never seen a VW part number stamped on any part of one- they are Bosch parts (or aftermarket) and have Bosch numbers on them. Only some of the boxes have VW part numbers. Has anyone seen a rotor or condenser with a vw # on it?

I haven't seen VW numbers on those Bosch parts themselves, but VW did assign part numbers to them as listed in the factory parts list.

With today's Crack/Meth/Ecstasy or whatever people are using, I wouldn't be surprised if it sold for that much.

NOS? I can see the marks from the clamps on the ends.
NOS tubes have not had clamps installed.

361 is a Dasher part, IIRC. The whole car isn't worth $25.

It's a Variant/Squareback part. I bought NOS versions for about $20/pr. a while back.

Same part is used on the 64-67 Bus rear hatch too.
I believe a Bus guy has a wanted ad for those but at $25 for one, not gonna hook them up.

More realistic price for the part used:

Seems there's more than one person who think these are worth $20+:

Missing the metal 'guide' piece though... Wink
