The tailpipe trim doesn't seem too high, I sold like 25ish of them for more over the past few years until I sold out. |

Tail pipe piece seems like a good price, BTW, will this fit a stock tail pipe? It seems so much larger? _________________ 1967 Class 5

I would have been into that in 1988! Not at that price now or then but it looks late 80s/early 90s cool. I like it.
He got a bunch of emails... Someone said they would buy it if it was a roller so it could be shipped. I can't see that price either but maybe there is more to the deal than we are seeing? Don't know. _________________ How to Post Photos

It's got a 'look' to it but it's nowhere near worth $13,500...
How many people get an email saying that someone will buy their wares but never follow through? I'm guessing it's 'a lot'. Even put together, it's not an $8500 car, IMO. |

I think that ad has been up longer - this is the 'new' version. IIRC, it started in the $6k range in the same condition. No one in their right mind would buy this car at the listed price. The paint job is a 90's throwback with none of the history and you know this is probably the best selling feature of the car.
I laugh every time the ad gets renewed. |
Yes, I think it was at $6500 for a long time, and it read "the price will go up as I work on it". _________________ 71 Elm Green FI A/T Squareback |

So what's up with this car for $8k?
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1934559
"1968 Type3 Squareback HTF White/Red Fuel Injection"
Is the fuel injection white/red or the car? Ok, it's the car, and how about the dash? That candy wrapper stuck in the speaker grille is classy. And the painted ashtray is such a nice touch.
Look at those hatch hinges. Was the car originally red or green? True, he says
"Hood is more recent replacement, with more recent painted hood" but what does he mean?
Who doesn't love some random capitalization?........"Pan has treated Minor areas of rust through on both sides Rear Floor." What does he mean by "treated"? Clearly, the floor is a mess.

And when you read his add, he'll include the parts needed to put it together for another 2700. That means he's still trying to get 6700 out of it. Good luck. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
