I hated the black holes under the rear seat of my 58er
so I decided to get rid of them
I made 2 covers out of a template, covered them with leather and put in 2 holes for the speakers...
her the result

"fixed" the drivers side wiper pivot by encasing it with half of a plastic dry wall mount thereby giving rainouts cushion for the wiper arm nut to grab hold and stick to the deformed OEM pivot.

I was able to finish up my "convertible" deck lid for my 67. I acquired a 70 deck lid for $20. A lot of cutting, welding and shaping later and it is in. I was also able to take the rain catcher and cut it and weld in to fit the double snout air cleaner. Yay! I saved the og paint lid for whenever I want to switch back. I'm waiting on the paint to cure so I can fade it out to better match the rest of the car.

I am getting ready to do this to my sons car, I like how you did it in one piece instead of each vent separate, why didn't I think of that? Do you have the measurements or could you send me a link to the measurements used to do this and make it look right? _________________ Looking for anything from Hal Casey Motors out of Hamburg New York, from license plate surrounds to matchbooks.

After six month of fighting with why I couldn't get my wipers working I finally figured it out. I replaced it all from motor to switch to finally find out I should have used a 68 wiring diagram. Needless to say something I had hours in trying to figure out took me one minute to get working once I tried what shouldn't have worked. Good old 67 one year off. |

after months of people locking themselves in the passenger seat due to my door latch getting stuck and them pushing forward on the inner door pull rather than back, I decided to replace the latch with a repro version. It was a pain to pull out the old one as there is no room to really work inside the door and while avoiding to pull the window channel out. Eventually I got it done and all the latch opens and closes correctly now with the inner door pull, the door still gets stuck. I'll have to take a look at everything again _________________ Make it three yards, motherf*****, and we'll have us an automobile race

The driver-door on my '66 gets stuck every once in a while. I thought it may be the latch mechanism on the door jam causing that. When mine gets stuck, I bump the door firmly with the heel of my thumb and it un-latches. _________________ Pearl White 1966 Sedan

I brought my first bug home! A '59 with a completely new pan and a birds nest in whats left of the glovebox. Runs, turns and stops no problem but everything else needs attention. I'm in complete love
6 inch narrowed beam and drop spindles of I have no idea what.

Today I found a box of parts I put away in August, 1995. For some reason I dated the box. Anyway I've been looking for the speedometer (5/63) and one of the dash grills and found them along with other misc. dash items. Totally forgot about this box but nowadays I can't remember what I did yesterday. Anyway I'm psyched I found them. _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

I bought it!
New first time owner, I've wanted one since I was a kid! Finally poped for a little project car, 66 2 owner Beetle. I got the interior stripped, motor tuned up, oil changed and am chasing a starting issue (won't crank )
Wish me luck! |

Installed a Redirad unit, 6V. Now I can play my iphone over the original sapphire 1 radio with zero modifications to the car or radio. _________________ Plate of shrimp |

Found that the idiot who unfortunately "worked on(messed up)" my car for a while just cut the wire for the license light when he took the deck lid off. So the exposed wire has been chillin' in the engine compartment and it blew the fuse the other day. Fixed it! I'm just glad it didn't catch on fire. |
