I am in the process of restoring a set of Pedrini wheels from a 914. I have media blasted them with plastic media. Question is, what do I do now? I am not interested in painting them, I like the original look. How do I preserve them and keep them clean?
thanks.

The Pedrini's are a porous aluminum casting and they will absorb road grime. I constantly had to use a wheel cleaner on them. i finally had mine painted stock wheel silver and they've been trouble free since.

You might be able to get them clear powder painted if you want the original color.

Glenn,
Did you use powder or regular paint? Where did you get the paint and what color is it?

Weld/fill/polish before paint/powder.
(don't powdercoat in the ball recess)
