Nice picture with a beige 38! After adjusting the colors a little bit, you can see the convertible is actually dark green??? |
Interesting. Would be nice to know which vert it is exactly. Perhaps the Goering one which is said to be green or blue I believe. The interior also seems lighter colored/not black. |
Same line up. Here the antenna is also clearly visible, like on Goering's car.

Thanks for posting Bart. Any clue on where this pic was taken and for what occasion?
I keep being amazed that there seems to be an endless source of pictures of these early prototypes and KDF wagens and still there remains so much mistery. Cool ! |

Both Picts are shot on the same spot. One on the street, one from the building. Thanks Bart for finding it. _________________ Zelensis, glassfibre body made in Belgium , disigned and built on a VW platform About 25 body's built.

Wow, very interesting find Blue Baron! Thanks for posting. That must be AH being driven by young Ferry Porsche to Fallersleben railway station after the cornerstone ceremony. Pic must have been taken by one of the people standing along the route. Were did you find it? |

I thought the same thing. It looks like it came from an old family photo album.
The photo was found by Pogel. |

Go go, surch your Ley picture, if you can start the old beast.
Here is the one we have, or thinking for 99 % that this must be the Ley one.
As you can see, the man is sitting in the kübel typ 62/1, the forerunner of the typ 82. He was probably going, in the autumn or early winter 1939 to the front in Poland.
The cabrio is riding just behind the kübel. |
Is this the same car as the one discussed in the above post found on page 5 in this thread?
Looking at the boxed semaphore it has a different position compared to the V303 and AHs and Görings car. Also the color seems lighter. Would that be Ley standing in the car? Could it be? |

No, it isn't. We did some research for the uniform and ended after the war wth polizei in Austria. So we came up with the "red" Austro Tatra 1951 on a shelf in an old barn.

Guess it was too good to be true ! I found the pic in Der Käfer part 2 by Etzold (page 48 ) in the section on the late 30s prototypes. I guess this proves again that these great and knowledgable authors are not always right either. |

And I have seen a third one this summer....unknown to the public. Fact on the police cars...: Doors are wider as the original. _________________ Zelensis, glassfibre body made in Belgium , disigned and built on a VW platform About 25 body's built.
