Geez...did you at least get a decent severance package? |
It's highly likely that's why I've not missed working. I've been getting my regular check as though I was. That train has just about ran its' course, and the checks will stop in a couple weeks. Such is life. I'm glad I've got no mortgage, and my Air Force retirement. Also, I wasn't completely ill prepared, and will be able to not feel the burn until the first of the year. It'll all be fine. Things happen for a reason, or so they say. I reckon I'll find out. Lol
In the meantime I'm enjoying my grandchildren, the improvement in my health with the stress reduction, and just the general sense of well being that comes with the absence of stress. |

I'll turn 50 in September, Photo Equipment Technician.
Recently left the safety and comfort of the retail camera store location to work from the safety and comfort of my own home.
That means I'm no longer in the old Jack & Cee building ... that's just about the only thing I'll miss from that situation tho'. _________________ Two wrongs don't make a right...

Soon to be 52. I'm an ER Nurse for the past 27 years - alot of time in management. No, I'm not gay...I still hear from time to time "Oh, I know another male that is a nurse..." as if that means its okay for me to be a nurse. I love dealing with heart attacks, trauma and other real emergencies - too bad 75% of what comes to the ER isn't truly an emergency. But, you have to deal with the 75% nonemergent stuff to have the privlege of working with the 25% emergent. If you are gay, that's your business and I don't need to know about it. I'm here to help you no matter what you are or what you like. (Psych is not my strong point so I leave that to others). I've never understood why people have to announce their sexual orientation just as I don't announce how I use toilet paper - bunched up or folded... I also am in the Army Reserves for two more years as a nurse and have had the privilege to see some really humbling things. And, for the record, I'm not looking to start a discussion on all of this! |

I see those when I'm trying to 'sneak up' on early photo stuff on ebaysucksassnow by searching Leitz or Wetzlar instead of Leica.
That camera on my card is from 1956, it's one of the latest and greatest of a line that began in the 20's and ended in the late 50's when they changed the lens mount. Vintage Leitz and Zeiss both will still match or most likely better anything out there today in terms of image quality. It's definitely more of a thinking man's camera tho'... not much automation in today's terms. _________________ Two wrongs don't make a right...

I have a couple friends, who made a living/careers out of substitute teaching. Our son's fiance just went right to work out of College @ University of Oregon as a woman math professor. I hear they didn't have enough women in their math department. She's teaching remedial math & calculus in summer school too. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

I've been subbing for about 9 years, it's great and does pay fairly well but there are no health or retirement benefits my BS in physical education will not get me very much but I have high hopes, I'll get there someday hopefully soon _________________ Stupid people do stupid things. |
