56-retired

Was laid off from public utilities do to a shortfall of the budget because of Nazi water conservation tactics (REALLY, YOU DIDNT SEE THIS COMING!) They laid off 25% of the work force with a lottery style pick, and know one in the office was effected (big surprise). I went out on 23 interviews and found that I could not compete with 30 year olds for a job. Being supervisor position certified didn't help either, I was looked at as a threat to the people I was interviewing with. I made a couple of phone calls as the money was running out and just retired......I took a $17.00 a month hit retiring early.

I retired from the computer industry due to health reasons 10 years ago. I was a systems Tech / Security specialist.

I'm now a security guard / Mr. Everything at a Marina in West Vancouver BC, Canada.
