Just in case I never posted here….
61, retired after 30 years as a Revenue Agent for the IRS. 3 kids, all out of school and on their own. Wonderful wife and life is great!

Well after 38 years working Kitchens in Restaurants, Hotels, Colleges and the last 6.5 years @ a High end Market, I have changed Jobs, I'm now going to work at a co-packer:
http://freedom-foods.com/
We help Artisan food producers to develope, produce, market & ship their products. I'm being trained to be a production team leader, I'm the 1st real Chef they have hired, it is a whole new world for me, working in a new feild, in a new state of the art facility, tons of cool new equipment, and I get to learn how to us it all !! I'll be doing a lot of R & D for our new clients, plus over see a crew during production. I just hope my 54 year old body will hold up.... _________________ Tom

What a cool cross section of people!
Im 51 and in my first full time, on my own hook as a consultant contractor (meaning no retainer company as a safety net).....in the industrial printing industry.
That ranges from electronic control panels, hard board and flex circuit, medical device and sensor mfg, automotive component, solar ....and injection molding, cutting, processing and converting/packaging operations that go along with it.
My first car was a 1972 vw 411 in 1978. I have only owned one car that was not a VW. Currently have a 1973 VW 412 in the midst of a full restoration.....and my 2012 Golf as the faily driver. Ray |

Yeah, I'm certain it did.
and don't call me "Sir", I was just an enlisted grunt in a leg unit. _________________ My Photobucket for my Herbie Project - http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/TK-439/library/Herbie?sort=3&page=1

Mr. Mom. |
Sure, break my cover, Russ.
I'm actually 44 and have been a stay-at-home dad for the past 9 years, working harder than I ever did in the workforce. I have 3 sons, ages 11, 4 and 7 months. |
I'm not that anymore. And my sons are 20, 14 and almost 10.
Now 53, spend my summers running a mint still, spend tax season at H&R Block. Until now. Wife got a new job in Utah, so I'm moving in June and have to start my life all over again. _________________

Nice thread revival.
Still a nail banger. Still happily married, though my wife has gotten more educated (and beautiful) and makes way more money than I. Still have a daughter, but she is now 11 going on 25.
No regrets. Not one. Happiness is a good thing. _________________ nothing |
