Here's a few pictures of the handbrake assembly. I put the parts in order of how they should be reassembled and proper orientation. The only parts I don't have shown here are the cotter pin that goes through the end of the rod holding the spring plate and entire assembly in place, and the brake cables.

Trying to reassemble hand brake cables but ran into a problem. The cable on right side of cotter pin (see pic) has retracted back in the tube? I tried using a needle nose to release cable but it seems to be locked in place. Any tips on releasing cable tension? The main cable (with spring) has moved forward and not allowing parts to bolt back onto frame head? tips on this welcome as well!
