Went for a drive and found myself parked, looking at myself and my 1970 sweet Ghia.

A small thing...

E. went antiquing and found a nice AAA emblem for Virginia. We're members, and we're in Virginia!

It came with a license plate mount, which wouldn't fit. A trip to local hardware stores provided cable clamps & threaded rod, combined with other little bits & pieces M. made a nice little bracket for a bumper blade. Nice offset, can still open the engine lid, and you can see the car paint behind the cut-outs in the emblem.

Another small thing, but safety related...

Ghia brake lights aren't the brightest... And the season is getting darker, earlier.

Finally found time for putting in a 3rd brake light. Used the popular LED strip light technique: Alpena MaxLED from a FLAPS. They were kind of sparse, so we doubled them up to increase the density.

Went into the engine lid vents, above the rain tray. LED strips went on a rubber strip, so go in cleanly using 3 existing screw-holes. (No pic's yet, it was late when finished - search forum under "third brake light" for lots of similar arrangements.)

Looks like it will work, sitting out on the driveway.

Thought I would add some color and
installed the Euro style taillights.
I still have my original Hella lights just in case
I want to go back. The red portion is
not quite as dark as my other lights.

Then I decided it was time to start making some changes to it -- Where or Where to start------

Had some cash in my paypal account that I needed to spend, so ordered a Dry sump pump and crank pulley from CB -- will need to mount my crank trigger onto it -- -- Now I have to make a oil tank and decide if I'm finally going to move the oil cooler to the spare tire bay up front or not -- I still need to move the fuel lines from underneath the car, so might just make it a quad run of lines - two 1/2" lines for fuel and two 3/4" for oil -- running them inside under the passenger seat and near the 'new' oil tank which set on the floor behind the passenger seat
