Hi, I have a threaded hole without anything to put in there. I figured it was a temp sensor, so I bought one but it doesn't fit. The same hole is on the other side of the engine too. See the red arrow...
I'm also wondering if I've ordered the correct injector. The new one has the black tip. The original is (dirty)white. Same thing?

Yes, that is the temp sensor 2 hole, why doesn't it fit? too big? wrong threads?
The pintle guards on the injectors come in many different colors and obviously a few shapes too, don't worry about it, it's there to protect the internal parts but does nothing to the performance of the unit. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Thanks! So there are two temp sensors? The reason the sensor won't fit is that it's just slightly too big. I got it from bus depot.
Looks similar to this one...

That's the one, and it should fit.
You only need one sensor, the other head is probably a symmetrical replacement with the hole in it just for the hell of it. The theads are 10mmX1.0, you may have to clean them up with a tap. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
