Timing

Hey all -

Just picked up a westy with a weber progressive (please don't think less of me) carb and a vacuum can advance....any ideas where my timing should be set at....currently have it at 7.5 BTDC and it seems to run well. Thanks.

It all depends on the distributor you have.

What is the number stamped into it?

Good start, what is the total advance you are getting?

Depends on your distributor and if you have vacuum advance connected.
