|
|
Hey guys hope all are having a great day!! I have a question for you..I have a 1970 beelte and I just installed the empi lowered ball joint spindle/disc brakes on it. My tires are rubbing against the outer lip of the fender now. I have 165 r 15 tires on it. What size would I need to fit without narrowing the front end right now?? I am about 1 inch from the lip and when my big but sits down in it it is almost right on the lip. I hit the brakes and it rubs from squating a little bit.I would like to keep the same width right now. I was thinking 175/65 15's but they would be an inch and a half wider than then rear I believe. I have the empi 8 spokes on it now and I believe they are 5 inches wide...Thanks for any help!! |

A 155R15 should help you out. They are about 1/2" shorter and thinner then a 165R15 |

Actually you'll need 145-15. _________________ Glenn

175/65/15's might just do the trick. I was lowered 3" in the front with disc brakes and had a set of empi 8's as well. I started with 165's and those rubbed like crazy. So, i switched to 195/60/15s and those were better but still hit the fender lip when I was cornering. I tried the 175/65/15's and those solved all my rubbing issues. They were slim enough to not hit the fender lip and short enough to not hit the headlight bucket. Give them a try. They rode great on the car and gave lots of grip. |

When you guys refer to 145s, 165s, 175s what is the sidewall "height" (205/70r15)?
just wondering cuz I have 195/50 r 15s and theyr pretty low profile but they still rub (on a 6 inch wheel) _________________ MAIMAS... read it backwards
