quite frankly that much money for a tach
I mean if you have money flowing freely go ahead
but I chose this route, 75 bucks for OG german VDO tach
and a metal band for like treefiddy
I like it better _________________ '59 typ1 rajay turbo

That looks great. But, on a '67 Coupe the speedo is centrally located and for $275 the tach will be unobtrusive in mounted in the dash. We are all eccentric in our own ways. |

I used an old porsche 914 tach and used my clock face with an insert supplied from a friend on this site. I'm no purist and had much more things to spend the $450 on. The tach looks great in the car.

You received a quote of $275? I would have went for that. The quote I received from NHS was $450. Its definitely worth $275! _________________ Ghia Owner Emeritus |

So is the difference in price ($275.00 - $450.00) dependent on if you supply the clock that the tach would be replacing? |

NHS typically quotes $400.00 plus core charge, and up. I don't know where the figure of $275 came from Late Ghia clocks are worth about $20.00 each, if that. I have a 67-71 tach already made, in the Ghia classifieds. _________________ Check my classifieds for kewl gauges:

Does anyone know what tach would be good to take the place of the clock in a 74 ghia? Something that looks like it belongs? If anyone has any pics it would be great to see. |

Stock Porsche tach. I forget which one, possibly 914. There's pics in the gallery. _________________ Check my classifieds for kewl gauges:

Yes that looks like a good match, thank you. One more question, what are the chances that would be the same size as the speedometer? Would that fit right in there or would it take some customizing? |

I sent the clock from my 72 to NHS, and they converted it to a tach, while keeping the gas gauge, turn signals, etc intact. First rate job. |

I just got a quote for converting my existing clock to a tach...$450.00 plus shipping. Thats def too high for my budget, i think i will look for a used 912 tach for now |
