why narrowed? it really doesnt have any posotive effects, if you use stock offset type3wheels you should be able to run 3 clicks down w/o rubbing.

if yours going for the looks then by all means... but i hope its not a daily driver. i had a 8inch narrowed beam from one of the biggest narrowed beam makers in the US in my fasty and it drove like shit. then again the PO installed it and he was a friggin hack. he wired the air ride in with telephone wiring Sad

Did you have wider wheels up front to fill up the fenders? It drove like shit because the front track was narrowed (a consequence of installing a narrowed beam). Razz

One can install a narrowed beam and still have the car handle great so long as wheels with a greater offset are used (e.g. wheels pushed out toward the fender).

This looks Perfect!

I still don't get it. A narrow beam with even smaller tires.

I dont know... this is a 7" wide on the stock setup... I don't think a narrow beam adds all that much to the look... i dunno, to each his own i guess.

Thanks for all the input and pics everyone, I didn't realize this was such a touchy subject around here Laughing

Confused

Anyway, I know what I'm getting into and know that the type 3 suspension is much better...I just wanna see some pics of narrowed set-ups, so I can get a decision on my own.

not so much touchy, everyone has opinions and most of us t3 guys dont liek seeing t1 stuff go on our beauties...

spoon, it had wide front tires, i think 90% of the problem with that car was the po hacked it every way possible, rremember the nasty? thats the car..

so after lots of consideration i started with a fresh 69 automatic pan and a good 71 body and just using random sheet metal from nasty to fix the nice fasty im building.
