here i my 69 squareback someone posted a pic on the first page of it when lowindo had it.
when i got it, it had a prototype KCW 6 inch beam clamped to the frame head!! this is what it looked like when i managed to drive it home!!
now heres what it looks like now... or atleast while i was welding the new brackets to it as you can tell its not fully bolted up!!
and finally here it is at perdido key in florida this was taken on the way back from bugjam. i drove it from ocean springs MS to bugjam and back with very little problem even with my girlfriend!!
this car has a 6inch beam but has half inch spacers and then wheel adapters on the front and is currently under going a wide 5 conversion on the rear!! |

So sexy. Those wheels are great on there. What would be the difference in going with a link pin vs ball joint? I'm thinking of doing a type 1 beam and i'm not sure which to go with. Is your single bag in the center or on one side? _________________ 1971 Squareback, fully bagged, 1776.

i guess there is no such big difference. i know on beetles you can have issues with the joints when going really low. but using it at type 3 will also work pretty good.
the bag sits in the center:
