I've looked with little success so I thought I'd ask here. I'm looking for pics of lowered bugs with black, stock wheels. As I'm building my '73 bug, I plan to have it lowered about 3 inches. I'd like to have a set of wheels that are simple and clean. I was thinking of taking a set of stock wheels and having them powder coated gloss black and run them with chrome trim rings and no hub caps. Does anyone have a pic of this on their set up or a similar idea? Please show.

sled, everytime I see your car I gotta go wipe off my seat. Dang man, so low and SO sexy! thumbs up times infinity.... Smile

As for the question at hand... my car is like sled's but the lowering hasn't occured yet... i have a set of 2.5" drop spindles going on the car this week or next, and I plan to match the rears as needed... my car wont come as close to being as low as his tho, just not doable in Ohio.

Here is a pic as it sits now, to at least show you another car that has black wheels... just painted satin black at a local body shop nothing fancy...

I love the stances of all of these and want to acheive the same look. Are the tires you guys have "real" white walls or painted? I am having trouble finding whitewalls that are 135's and/or 145's. Any help would be great.

If you want 145R15 whitewall tires and you have the budget for REAL white wall.... goto Diamond Back (dbtires.com) ..... it is worth the money and wait... trust me... (see my car a few replies up!)
