Sheesh! What a bunch of Negative Nellies. Well, there are at least four pots of gold in this picture alone. Imagine how much the other 400 vans are worth. |

Howdy guys-
I've got the shop in Southwestern VA with all the vans. I don't spend a lot of time policing message boards but it would be great if we could avoid the rumor mill-misinformation-mongering. I just thought I'd write to let you know that I own all my inventory and property free and clear, am in total compliance with local and state regulations, and am in no danger of losing anything. It would be great if you could just let your buddies know so a bunch of folks don't storm the place thinking they are doing someone a favor. These vans were ALREADY saved from the crusher. That is not where they are headed.
Thanks |
Dang you've got quite the collection. _________________ Dave O

Oops! There I go again, hauling around junk. Too bad someone couldn't have just parted these out instead. |

This should be illegal! One guy should not be able to buy up all the vanagons, and then torture them! We need and amendment to the constitution! Four vanagons max. to a person! Who's with me? |

V - thanks! You are providing a valuable service to the Vanagon community, and I hope making money and having fun in the process. Some day I will probably benefit in some way from what you are doing.
Great stuff!

I thought Vanagon Heaven was where all the Vanagons were Beige, all had good fuel lines, and were fully equipped with MtnSmith cubes. |

vuhvanagon I think I may have passed you going the other way on our way to Maine last year the end of May. I passed someone headed southbound on 81 somewhere in Va with two vanagons on an open trailer. From memory it sure looks like the picture you just posted but with 3 this time.
Glad to know these vans are saved. I have 3 in my yard and they do seem to multiply like rabbits. _________________ ☮️ |

Don't let the dokas intermingle with the van bodied ones. You'll wind up with a bunch of worthless mutts. _________________ Please do not message me on TheSamba. Use my email, [email protected] |

His collection is amazing. I see very few Westys in there, mostly tintops? Any kind of organization, like syncros over here, air cooled over there, or just kind of willy nilly? What a place! _________________ 1990 Syncro 16" DoppleKabine 2.1 DJ 112i

Haha.
I had bought and worked out a deal with the seller of that Van well over a year ago but backed out of the deal, because it was like 1500 miles away and I didn't want to take a chance on what I couldn't see.. He said he was the builder of it and it was located in the Chicago area. The pixs posted looks like the ones as posted by the original sellers Samba for sale pixs.. ?
Now I know where it went.
But with approx. 15 Vans on hand I already have more then I can keep up with. But my inventory can't compare with Vanagon Heaven..

Organization? That's a nice idea but unless you have 5 people working for you full time like Jay Leno does its a lot harder than you may think. Being outdoor adds to the problems, and multiply that times the number of vehicle your trying to keep running. |
