I need some help in IDing this buggy I bought. I imported it from California and have no clue as to what kind it is. The previous owner said it was a Manx.

without the Manx badge on the front or an ID tag displaying the Manx manufacturing info, I would question whether it is a Manx (somewhat rare) or a Manx-clone (not rare)... _________________ póg mo thóin

Thanks for all your help guys... it looks as if I have a Safari Trail 2 type dune buggy.
I live east of Houston - in Katy Texas.
I have another buggy that I bought that I will post later - a little two seater - red. _________________ I kan reed |

8 years later and here's a few more bugs that I have stored in the garage. Wife is threatening me because her car now sits outside.

The Manx SR is a great addition! What on earth is that awesome grey one in the foreground? I've never seen anything like it, but now I want one! _________________

Can't help with the ID except that it isn't a Manx. Interesting that you're in Katy, "east" of Houston. I live in Katy too... but I'm west of Houston! I'm told there are several buggies here, but I never see them.... and you have three. I'm glad one of us is keeping the neighborhood right. Anyway, nice garage! |
