Wow, great deal (if it is as described). I paid more than twice that amount for a mine in similar shape _________________ 1979 Westy Auto

Hey guys so what do you think of this one? It does have rust issues but looks pretty clean. It is registered out of state Oregon how concerned should I be with registering it in California im worried about smog mostly. Anyway figure id see what you guys thought of it.

I would want close-up shots of the dog legs, rockers, beam, and frame. If it's pretty much only surface rust and the engine build checks out, that's a nice deal I think. But do get as much detail on the rebuild as possible. _________________ 1976 Westy

I found a California Roadrunner in New York for 1500 bucks, but I can't afford to buy it. Thought I'd let you guys know.
Looked like a sweetie. Not running but close enough to it. Feels like a lot of bus for the price to me.

If you can verify that the engine is a quality rebuild, and there is no real rot to speak of that's a decent deal. _________________ 1976 Westy

Yeah but I'd have to spend a few grand to raise it back up to a respectable height _________________ Learn how your vintage VW works. And why it doesn't!

I doubt that. I would bet you could sell that stuff for way more than stock replacement parts would cost you. _________________ nothing |

Really? I guess I've honestly never looked for non-stock suspension. So I just didn't think other people would want that stuff _________________ Learn how your vintage VW works. And why it doesn't!

A quick look shows the Wagenswest parts add up to @$1300 give or take. That does not include wheels and tires, and other ancillaries. _________________ nothing |

what do you guys think of this one? Seems like it needs some sun roof work which doesn't seem that cheap and some engine work ( like the dog house and tin I guess it over heats is that hard to install? or cause me to reconsider because it hasn't been installed am i looking at some hacked together bus?). Think $4,000 is to much to offer for it?
