That's a '68 that I BET you could score some one-year-only parts off of if you brought some cash. _________________ Learn how your vintage VW works. And why it doesn't!

While parts hunting for my daily driver/beater dodge stratus, I found a 72 baywindow in my local pick-and-pull junkyard.
There were 5 or 6 kids in it when I first saw it, but I had to look. One came out and was telling me all about them (he knew nothing- said he though it was an early dodge van at first ) no engine, no tranny, no nothin.
So I let the kids have their fun, and I returned when I got what I needed from the Chrysler section of the yard.
Much to my dismay, the interior, dash, everything had been gutted.
I did find a few things strewn about the floor though.
-Near perfect condition black horn button
-period correct cigarette lighter- SUPER COOL, but probably non-op.
-Rear defrost switch
-1 front door handle guard
-1 chrome decklid latch with original rubber moisture sleeve- best find.
All for the nifty price of free. It's amazing what you can just chunk in your tool box and walk out with at these places.
I'd really like to get that 72 outta there, despite how extremely taken apart it is. It has 2-pane jalousies in it, and all the glass. To buy a car at their lot it's like $200 I think. hmm...
