Someone should pick this up. For $6500, this looks like a steal!

I'm considering purchase of this '72, I'm the only one who has seen & heard it running. there is plenty missing , but I'm curious what you all think of how much would be too much to pay. it turns on but have not driven yet as the brakes apparently need some work. feed me the truth on your observations. I can take it. their might be plenty you can see that I haven't noticed. thanks!

What's it look like under it? Just looking at the rust on the front bumper and by the engine serial number, would cause me to run. I've seen some wickedly rusted buses lately out of Florida. That humidity and salt really rusts them out bad.
I'd be very cautious about buying that w/out someone who knows buses and rust inspecting it first. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

Doesn't seem too bad underneath, but I'm going to see again this weekend. probably on Sunday, but i'll make sure to take some more photos, also take someone along that is more experienced with the rust situation. the wheel wells had been undercoat, & where it is cracking off it is what seems like the wonderfully preserved original paint. |

He's in Florida, I don't think it looks that bad. My Colorado bus has way more body rust then that...although no pan rust. There's a good angle to be found here for the buyer. One year only bus, shitty carb set up, primer/pinstriped doors. What's the guess? Mines $1500 if the runs... _________________ __________

I found a '75 for sale, it's $6400 obo. The pictures look ok, no major rust holes. It's been repainted white. Interior looks ok. The ad says it came from California and the owner drove it from there through Utah then home to Louisiana. He said its priced cheap because there's no compression on cylinder 3. 1,2 & 4 were ok. Of course I haven't actually seen or tested it myself and I assume the worst case scenario right now and it would need a full overhaul until otherwise diagnosed. Is this a reasonable price in its current described condition. It's about 4 hours away from me and I'd have to tow it back home.
From what I read cylinder 3 is positioned where's it's always hotter and that one is usually the first to go. Is that true? |

Not sure if it is a good deal, but it is an interesting one.
