Are you going to use the Luxury Liner Pro on the engine side or the cabin side of the firewall?
IF you apply it to the engine side, make sure you wait at least 30 days from the day of your last coat of Spectrum.
The engine side will be fine since you are only using Damplifier Pro on it.
Sandwiching the firewall between the 2 different products along with Luxury Liner Pro is the best way to do it.

Rik,
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you Damplifier and Spectrum both sides of the firewall? Looks like it from your photos.
Ant seems to think you have only done one side.

ANT, if I might sidetrack this thread for just a second....
I am trying to explain this process to my paint guy. After the engine bay and interior is all freshly painted, apply the damplifier pro then the 3-4mms of spectrum.
Also on the bottom of the bus, just apply the spectrum for 3-4mm? The bottom of my bus is POR-15 and their "Chassis Coat". Is the spectrum likely to stick to it?
Would 5 gallons of Sectrum get me the coverage I am looking for? |

I layed down damplifier and spectrum on both sides of the fire wall. I did not spray the entire recessed area (shelf) for the gas tank. I'm also replacing the original sound deadening material in the roof of the engine bay with motor mat and motor mat pro.
The most important thing I have learned so far is that the majority of the noise we here in our busses is from the engine bay. Yes there is road noise from the panels, floor and roof, but the engine is the primary focus.
Randy, feel free to sidetrack this thread at any time. The amount of information I've learned from reading your old posts will never be repaid. If I was having the bus repainted, I would lay damplifier inside the rear air vents (the metal against the cargo area wall), spray four coats of spectrum and then have them paint the spectrum. There is a good deal of engine noise entering the bus from the rear cargo area. This is something I want to do in the future. _________________ Rik

I'd be a bit pissed if I were the sponsor.... Maybe there's a good reason for the silence. _________________ -------

I bet he just didn't finish......maybe bit off more skin than he could chew? everyone I know has at least one unfinished project- let's face it-it is more fun to start than finish, for some reason..... _________________ 74 Rivi
