4lug 5.5" Wide Chrome Stock Wheels

I'm thinking of installing a pair of old Mangle 5.5" wide chrome wheels on the rear of my 69 Bug. It appears to me that the additional 1" offset is entirely pushed out towards the fender. I'm running 2.5" CB Drop Spindles on the front with 145/15 Nankangs on stock 4.5" steel wheels and the rear has been dropped approximately 2".

I have a few questions:

1. Will the wheel fit or is it too wide given the offset?

2. If it will work, what size tire would be ideal (I'm thinking 196/65 15)?

3. Should I stay with my stock 4.5" wide rims with 165/80 15 tires?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
