My wife was using my aging Nikon D100 with an 18-200. An SLR is really good at this king of pictures!
Btw, I got her an Olympus Stylus 1030 SW shock proof and water proof for the quick shots while driving. |
Which one was she using for these pictures?
The pictures really stand out and seem extra clear...... |

Thanks, those shots were taken with the D100 and 18-200 DX lens |

Day 1 – Montreal - Seaford
Departure time: 6:15am
Distance travelled: 574 miles
Arrival time: 7:15pm
Weather: Some hard rain
Mechanical issues: 1 blown wiper fuse
All packed up and ready to leave Montreal – 6:15am

Enjoying the drive while it’s still sunny
I have no idea why I bothered with installing a center rearview mirror
Finally the rain stopped, but not without leaving its mark… No more wipers and no more gages

Autozone to the rescue, “Where are those 30amp fuses sir?”
Parked for the night - Yes rain again... Thankfully this would be the end of it for our trip!
Day 2 – Seaford – Myrtle Beach
Departure time: 6:15am

I have not calculated the exact mileage yet but we have accurate record of every fill-ups. The quick calculations I came up with was 24.5mpg driving 70 - 72 mph most of the time.
I'm running the following:
Stock 1600 (zero mile long block bought in 2003)
SVDA Dizzy
Dual Weber IDF 40s with custom made round filter base.
Monza restrictive exaust (I know...)
Stock chrome tins (I know...) |
