Cal Parts andof Crestlines are a one piece aluminum wheel. ET's are a aluminum faced steel wheel. I am not sure about all the knockoffs.

If I am correct, the one on the left is not a calpart (2 piece). The wheel on the right is a calpart (one piece).

Sorry, I based it on the little relief pointed out in this pic. Very Happy

The one on the left has no relief area and yours does. My Calparts also have the relief area. This picture shows one of my 2 piece on left and my calpart on right. There were a handful of makers of this style of wheel.
I am curious if your broken 2 piece wheel says calpart co., on the backside? Very Happy

The relief point your talking about is the there on that wheel, its just that in the past that particular has been heavily machined to repair the face??
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

So before fitting these new wheels had to get the bolt holes drilled out to match my mag nuts
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Standard the holes are 14mm but I had to get them machined out to 17.5mm.

Brian, Thanks for the pics yesterday morning, bus looks good.

I was going to email you last night about a pair of Cal Parts that were for sale at Hot VW's Drag Day. There was a pair and the old dude wanted $500 a piece!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Luckily he is from my area, so I will keep eyes on them and try to beat him up on the price so we can complete your original set again.

Up close look at the rear of Brian's bus. It took some planning to get these in there.

Typically, after buying the set of wheels I came across a guy who had a lock up in riverside and had 9 cal part wheels. He has said he's happy to part with one when I get some more cash.

On reflection I'm really happy t went for this set of wheels, but I will buy another wheel so that I have a complete spare set. At least now I have a spare wheel I can actually use.

So 4 weeks ago I went to get a new set of tyres which then lead to

Tyres £250
Cal part wheels £1000 ish
Import tax £250
new rear hubs & brakes £100
All new mag studs, washers & nuts £150
Temporary front wheels, spacers & bolts £150
Machine work on wheels £200
Switching tyres over £70

About £2,200 that didn't really have on my bus.

I've come to the conclusion that I shouldn't be pro-active with my bus as it always bites me in the ass.

Keep in touch Jake about those wheels.

What lug nut / lug bolt torque specs are people going by? I have a set of torque thrust replicas on my bus and can't find any torque specifications. I am running lug bolts.

My Cal-Parts have aluminum center caps, 3 of 4 do, anyone know if they are original?

Yep, thats the original style center cap. Very fragile and they corrode easy.
