Any updates on that 1835 Weber Progressive wheelie video?

I got sold on this buy, then engine now that i tore it down "was" a 1600 with some after market crap added.... the guy that sold it to my seller saw him comming a mile away.... but by next week the wheelie might happen, but no 1835 involved add 1152 ccs then it could be true

You're building a 2987?? Are you planning on driving this thing ever?

Laughing 1052, math was a little off hahaha

I was looking for a set of 48s on a good deal but they were a little out of my budget for this build, I think 44s will do good until I break this engine in and save up for some man carbs Cool Laughing

You're using chromoly valves?

And that 120 cam is kinda puny for a motor of that displacement, depending on what kind of power you're trying to make. But then again, the 44 webers are kinda puny for that displacement too, unless your goal is to build a nice daily driver motor with a wide powerband. Not so good if you're trying to do wheelies at the drag strip though. Laughing

Nice daily driver with a wide power band is what im going for, the valves are stainless steel with heavy duty springs my goal is to keep this engine under 6k rpms... Im not going to be able to do a wheelie i know that.

Laughing I thought I new what I was doing at first, vw is a totally different world then what i rebuild on a daily basis. this is my first aircooled vw engine build, Im used to big diesels, turbines and hydraulics. This was quite a learning experience, I should have just rebuilt the engine as a 1600 to gain some experience, but no not me I like to just jump right in with only a crescent wrench and a flat head. Laughing jk I have more tools than that, vice grips.
I did solve my problem with the engine being to tight... not enough endplay, im not going to use the bolt on endplay tool again. All I have to do now its measure my pushrod length and cut them on my lathe. Then its going in.for the first startup I will be posting the grenade vid on youtube Laughing maybe Ill figure out what the hell I'm doing eventually.
