I've seen a lot of pics of VWs and drive-thru trees scattered throughout Samba.

This picture was taken in 1995 while I was on a road trip to Southern California.

I drove my new beetle through a giant redwood on my way from Napa, Ca to Eureka, Ca, somewhere off hwy 101. I got a cool sticker for doing it too.

Then on my way from Eureka to White City, Oregon, I encounted a forest of Redwoods, all massive trees, up to 20ft in diameter. Sick huge.

Muir woods was cool, nothing to drive through though.

Oh, and a few years ago I bought a cool postcard in Yosemite, Ca with a beetle driving through a redwood.

Uzi - This tree is crazy looking!

Are both of these pictures of the same tree? What's the name and where is this tree? ( I can't make out the sign )
