Took out the middle seat last Wednesday and delivered a breakfast table and chairs to my mother's apartment. Oh....and dropped off some apricots to a friend for some home brew. _________________ Happy to be alive. Hey Dad, Mom, wish you were here to see all this.

I finally started it! Actually it was Sunday, but I enjoyed that so much I started it again today!
It's been a long on-and-off 18 month resto. Ordered the historical 'tags' today. Doing the brakes on Thursday, (dual circuit MC), and then I can start on all the 'little stuff'. (Yea, like that annoying license plate light rubber boot! Oh yes, and correcting the dummy mistake (me) who painted the front rubber bumper trim! )
How 'bout them hideous mirrors????

Well not really today , But yesterday I went dirtbike riding with some friends out in the hills and as allways the bus gets it done. we call this one the "truck bus" because It is used mostly to haul stuff. No interior, rusty rockers, wierd minivan bench seat up front, under the spray paint it wears now it had at one time been covered with hand painted murals of peacocks, waves , stars and things that you can kinda still see through the rattlecan.

Took the bus out to road test the 1776 motor, hit the gas in 2nd gear, & went into a 4 wheel slide on the ice!
Think I will leave it in the garage until it thaws out! |

It's time to clean and organize the garage so I have room to work on my projects. Picked up a set of cut down pallet rack uprights and beams for the empty wall in the garage. 10' high, 18" deep with 9' beams. Shelves will be at 10', 8', and 6.'

This past few weeks I've used the Single to put up a VW emblom on the new "Hanger" aka the carport on the Hill.:
And construction aide:
With 16 Ton of 3/4" crushed slate, you need a good Bus to haul tools & comtemplate your next wheelbarrow load, while sipping a BEER !!! _________________ Tom

My old SO-35 Westfalia was used for the Homecoming dance this past weekend at Torrey Pines High School. The kids & teachers loved it!!! I'm sure there are a ton of pictures on the teenagers Instagram feeds. _________________ 58 PGSG Westfalia
