Recently installed a new set of M998 seatbelts and a tachometer. Took it up to the local monthly cruise-in for the first time, good stuff!

Changed the oil, trying Classic Car 15-w40. Changed the tranny oil to Mobil synthetic since I've read good reviews here. Adjusted the valves, #s1&4 exhaust were a little tight.
Finally, installed a new WW front trunk rubber seal. Getting the nubs into the holes along the cowl was a royal PITA. Split my right thumb open in the process. OUCH. _________________ Eventually, "we are what we pretend to be.’”

Took it out for the second time this season. The first time was a short drive to get a state inspection so i'll be legal. Today I took it for a nice drive and on the highway. It fired right up and hit the highway bringing the rpms to redline and shifting. The engine didn't miss a beat. Did 20 miles cruising at 75mph to make sure the oil reached normal temps.
When I got home i decided to check all the lights to make sure they all worked... they did.
Gotta love when after 4 months sitting the engine fires up and everything works. _________________ Glenn

Today I painted and put on my new stinger and headers that I bought at the no dough bus show this weekend. Also put on the deck lid extensions that I also bought at the show. What do y'all think of my stinger paint scheme? _________________ 71 super

New ball joint boot, new TRE Boot. Got passenger front tire installed, and then my uncle was nice enough to push it up the driveway with the help of the new, soon to be neighbors.
Plan on dropping the motor soon to replace the clutch, change the diff fluid, get the wiring harness in, and freshen up the motor while its out. |

I installed a new freeway flyer in my baja (daily driver, about 90miles round trip). I forgot how nice it was to drive a car where you don't have to hold the shifter in fourth gear. |

Finally started my beam swap, but for some reason cant get the inner tie rod ends out of the pitman arm. Pain in the a$$. Just got some new ones from work so if these ones get tore up im not to worried.
Oh and also re sprayed my hood, both front fenders, tinted my tail lights and turn signals, pulled my gas tank and cleaned it up, and finally sat back and enjoyed a beer with my bruised and bloody knuckles. Overall yesterday was a good day. Onto another!! |
