Yeah, you gotta love small car shows. There were only 40 cars there, only other import was a 2001 911. I could have taken my 07 Titan and won another trophy. Three pickup classes, before 1950, 50 - 70, and 80 up. Two trucks there, a 49 ford and a 55 Chevy. _________________ I'm not losing my hair, it's just retired and relocating further south.

1979 convertible
I put new door and rear kick panels in, as well as new speakers.
The PO butchered the door panels trying to put speaker in the doors.
New speakers in front kick panel enclosures by glass-action.
Much better, no speakers in doors! |

I just got my front disc brakes from cip1 today, full kit. Was able to switch them pretty easily. Removed all drum and brake plate. Regreased and the only difficult part was pressing in the new race bearing sleeves into the disc hub. Used a small hammer and hit it till went in. Cost was 229.90 total, was disappointed on how long it took to receive them but happy with quality and they stop great. Big difference from the drums, would suggest this as a much needed upgrade.

Did you do fronts and backs? and did the kit come with everything you needed to goto disk? Thinking about doing this to the 70. |

Last spring I went to a car show in a small town and there was only one car!
The weather was really overcast and it looked like it might rain so I guess everybody was afraid their cars might get dirty or something.
I thought about entering my car but I hadn't even washed it or vacuumed it in ages. Would still have probably been guaranteed a trophy though. _________________ "Just $99 down and $64 a month for 36 months buys you a brand new Volkswagen Beetle!"

I wouldent waste $ or thyme on building a small motor. build it big so it dosent have to work hard.remember it's only as fast as your foot alows it to be unless you build a small turd then it just stinks as it squishes up through your toes when you step on it. |

Ordered the parts to start the last phase on my 68 Beetle. New dual carb kit, kick panels, speaker shelf, some miscellaneous window parts. Monday it goes in for upholstery.
I'm thinking of ordering an a/c kit so I can drive it year round. Matte black paint and the desert heat don't mix!
