I figured the bay window folks have their wonderful forum topic titled "Let's see some bus and wilderness pics", but the splitty folks do not. Why not?! So lets see some pics of you taking your split buses off the beaten path! Splits in the woods, mountains, desert, plains, at the river, etc. It would be nice to consolidate the stories, videos, and pics so that we all can enjoy each others adventures. I'll start:
Ozark National Forest in Arkansas:

Nice! I need to dig up some old photos and scan them in from years back...this is the only one I have digitally - it's from a friend's farm out in the middle of nowhere...(notice how I keep a clear distance from the vanagons)
Can't wait to get my incoming 15s cleaned up & get some better tires on there... _________________ <---Air Cooled Search & Rescue Team - STICKERS & Tshirts for sale!

Will try and dig out and scan the pics of the gulf bus spewing mud around a campsite trying to leave a festival last year, damn that was funny. Haven't been on any proper off road quests yet tho..... _________________ Climbing trees, rocks and all else in my path then onto my roofrack for a kip... |

Truckersmike took this awesome pic of my truck:
'56 westy last month in a local national forest:
from the clear cut, parked in the same spot as the above pic:
in a few year the clear cut will look more like this, with tall grass:
although that clear cut looked like this in Nov 2006:

Great pictures everyone! Now I can stop scanning the gallery for pics and just use this thread for a supply desktop background images .

Great Thread!
Here's some pics of a surf trip to Baja with my '65 deluxe. These were taken in 1995.
