Hi all, I just purchased an unusual "partial" panel van, according to the papers the model is a 215 - a panel van with 2 sliding windowed doors with vent windows. I have never seen a ride like this before and I am really eager to learn more about it. Anyone out there know anything about this kinda ride? I would greatly appreciate any info y'all might have!

I am not sure if it is original, But I know where there is a 72 panel with dual sliding doors and sliding windows in both doors.

OK... Any idea what the model number would be? My paper sais it's a "215" but I can't find that reference anywhere else on the web. I did some research, both here on Samba and the web but I can't find it...

Here's a picture of her... note the over painted graffiti that somewhat appears through that horrendous, blue rolled paint! Also, someone decided to put 5/112's up front. I'll replace that with OG wide 5's though. Anyone else have pictures of similar configuration bay's - would be fun to see!

Mine is a hack that I am trying to undo. Confused

But if yours is original then by all means keep it that way. Way cool and unique.

I would love to see what that artwork says under the blue paint...

What does the M plate say on that one Goopher? Are the side doors the same biege color inside as the rest of the interior? does it still have the upper divider in it?

Pretty cool bus no matter what.

Interesting. That 5x112 is probably due to someone swapping the front beam out with a later one. What are your plans to undo it?

Nice!

The louvers are standard on full bench front seat panels with a cab divider.

Then I wonder why mine doesn't have louvers?

You are all partially right and I learned a bit too, bench splitwindow panels came standard with the louvers and M 116 was the delete. Bay bench panels came without them unless you ordered M 519. Assumedly the no louver option was becoming popular as more were being used for camper conversions so VW switched it.

Still would like to see that M plate Goopher.
