i have a whine about all the whiners who get all bent outta shape when you want to part out a bus rather than restore it.
yet, i dont see any one of these folks buying up all the parts buses in the USA and restoring them. they just get all hurt when you say your going to part out a bus that has been wrecked or rusty _________________ 73 Thing

The contraption on the front I believe is a Sportsmobile style spare tire cover?
I saw an ad not too long ago for a NOS alternator belt. Do you really want to put a 30 year rubber belt on your motor? I don't.
The other one that I ponder is the $3 "Alternator? bracket" that has been for sale since 2006. _________________ 1972 Westy ("Bubbles") - Pastel White - 1700(1974 MT) - Dual Solex |

you should know this person has no concept of reality when it comes to pricing, from the whine thread in the split bus forum. it's not even fun to post whines about them because everything they have is ridiculously priced. |

Apparantly he put one in :\
But honestly, I got me majorly restored but with very little rust for about 700 more than that.
So no dice for him.
I offered him 700, which is not only out of my price range, but pretty generous, and he turned it down, I checked the date of a craigslist add he had, then asked him, and found out he has been trying to sell it for about six months with like 1 offer, so yeah.
Forget that nonsense. I can find a less shitty bus for a less shitty price. _________________ 1973 Bay Window - Maggie the Magical Mystery Bus
