I could see the reasoning behind building that bus/truck/thing as a beater for around the farm and such, but to spend the dough to tart it up to sell as something special? Wow. |
It almost looks like the product of some central American/Mexican shop, the Mexi / Brazilian steering wheel, Beetle speedo as well as the custom upholstery, paint and bumpers scream Tijuana overhaul. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

"RARE" !!...1969 Volkswagen Bus Conversion to / Pick-up !!....
Just wondering, where does the cool air come in, to cool the motor?
A very unusual and collectible V.W. !! Rarely seen and lots of fun !! Watch people's reaction as you drive by in this V.W. / quad cab pick-up. A recent conversion / restoration project (under 400 miles since completion) - in high gloss "Red & White" w/ matching custom interior. The theme is "Coca Cola" colors and is a truly striking vehicle to pass on the road !!!
Powered by the 1600 c.c. air cooled engine * (rebuilt) w/ 4 spd. manual transmission . It has had a complete tune-up,(plugs, wires, cap, rotor and fuel filter, spray in bed liner, new wiper blades / arms, fuse box, re-wired all lights, turn signal switch & flasher, wiper switch, stop light switch, new exhaust and pipes, complete detail. The vehicle has all brand new radial tires and brand new, custom chrome GT5 "Empi"wheels. The bus does not have air conditioning . (none did)...

Through the "breathing area" that they created by customizing where the engine tin would go. It's one-off custom. Super rare.
This is just sad. How do you put so much money into something and be that oblivious. Shameful. _________________ '71 Transporter "June" (traded a nissan hardbody + some $) (daily)

Confirmed that the price is not a typo. It is 10K.
"VW Bus for sale by owner, needs to be restored but will bring the big bucks when finished. "
Speechless on this one.

Nice looking bus, I just love the WON"T LAST
because this thing has been up on Craigslist
in different forms for a long time.
I guess in the end, nothing will last, so there is truth in advertising. |

They're not rare by any means. Just need to find someone to sell just that part instead of the whole drawer or cabinet door. I made the guy a reasonable offer for the part a while back, but never even got a reply. |

From Craigslist Oklahoma:
Selling my 76 VW bus Westfalia Camper , The motor was rebuilt 7 years ago and then was driven 500 miles and then it went to a inside storage. What was done to the bus was , a new canvus was put in the top, a new fuel pump, the propane lines were repalced, Motor er built, new tires, The bus has the original interior, and paint. Before it went to storage some one hit the front LF shown in pictur. It will make some one a awsome bus, and it is Rare. Bus starts and runs great.
$12,000, no I'm not shitting you.
