Oh, I would have taken him up on far less. He is not willing to put a dime in. Just wants to convince her to sell (through him) so he can make something on it. Now that I am a little more confident that he is full of it, I can explain the his motivation to the relative.

I agree the price isn't that bad. Not so sure it has 104k on it either though...no title, who really knows. I just get a kick out of all the "original" references. I think if you know enough to say "original" that you should know what original means. Laughing

If it were a deluxe, would it not have belt line trim? Maybe late bays were different than early bays, forgive my ignorance if so.

Hmm. His shop saved a friend of mine on a cross-country trip when his rocker stud snapped on his T4. Not an easy stud to find, and I think he drove it out to the broke down bus. I definitely don't agree with the price, but I think he knows it's a '76. The Westfalia kits have names like "SO-67" and "SO-70" so that's probably what the '70 means.
